Event Details

Are you feeling like interpreting for weddings is not your thing? Think again! This Independent Study provides resources and guidance to explore interpreting for weddings for a variety of religions. You will be required to practice interpreting some examples of messages you may hear in a variety of wedding settings. You will be required to write a 2-page minimum paper. Questions are provided.

Educational Objectives:

1) Identify common religious and non-religious wedding traditions and scripts.

2) Compare and contrast the different approaches to prepping for religious vs. non-religious weddings.

3) Self-analyze my willingness to interpret for weddings.
