Do you wonder what makes hearing signers look hearing? What makes native signers so expressive and clear? Do you find yourself thinking in words and unable to truly transcend beyond words?
The secret, in short, is mastering the art of unlearning words, reducing the reliance on words, and then thinking fully in sign. The workshop is filled with thrilling research and anecdotes shedding light on what signing and words are, and how they both produce meaning. Designed to pull away the curtains behind the reason why you think in words and begin to transform how you THINK.

Presenter Bio
Seth is a Deaf native signer from a rich heritage of Deaf culture and sign language. His background spans many disciplines — ASL, Literature & writing, software engineering, and teaching.
He is a Deaf bilingual creative with a love for teaching and lecturing and technology. Seth has worked with many interpreters, hearing signers and new Deaf signers alike. His interest in ASL and storytelling has been lifelong – starting with his fascination as a child watching countless signed videos on VHS. This eventually led to live performance and storytelling on ASL Slam and then into ASL coaching in Broadway and Hollywood. He lives in New York City and currently is developing online platforms for interactive ASL collaboration and English grammar learning. He teaches original workshops that aim to unlock people’s signed thought and free them from wordy expression.
