Do you ever wonder how or why you got a negative consequence when you did the ‘right thing’ for the ‘right reason’? Haven’t we all? This workshop is designed to enhance an appreciation of reflecting on decision-making and improve the ability to anchor values in the discussion of our decision-making process.
Educational Objectives:
- Participants will be shown the importance of grounding discussion of ethical decision-making in our professional values.
- Shared reflective practice of ethical decision-making will be examined applying the framework of Demand-Control Schema.
- Participants will review the prevalent use of problem setting and metaphors in discussing ethics and how alternatively values can be prioritized.
