Presenter Bio
Jon Ainsworth oversees multiple different projects under ASLIS’s roof. All of his projects are aimed at improving the quality of interpreting services, which is something he is very passionate about. One thing that Jon believes in is that learning self-advocacy skills are the key to empowering yourself with the best communication access possible.
Melissa Schroeder is an interpreter referral specialist at ASLIS. She is also in charge of connecting deaf consumers to ASLIS’s Deaf Account. She is the one who helps Minnesota’s deaf community to empower themselves by taking control of their interpreter experience. She brings a unique deaf consumer insight to ASLIS from working with countless of deaf Minnesotans.
