During this workshop we will explore two of the most common medical screening questionnaires for anxiety and depression – the GAD-7 and the PHQ-9. We will analyze, strategize, and discuss each questionnaire using the demand control schema and other approaches.

Presenter Bio
Cyndi Modes holds her M. ED from the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at Rochester Institute of Technology. Cyndi is an active certified interpreter with over 15 years of experience in the field, the past ten of which have been focused on medical interpreting. She is currently a full-time staff interpreter for Rochester Regional Health in Rochester, NY. Throughout her career, Cyndi has had the privilege to mentor, tutor, and educate students, novice interpreters, and community members. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, puzzles, and crafting.
