Greater Minnesota refers to the area outside the seven-county metro area. The counties that are excluded from being recognized as Greater MN are:
ASLIS is here to support you! In order to best support you, we need your input on what you would like to see for workshops, training sessions, programs, etc. to happen in your area!
The Education-2-Excellence Program provides certified, non-certified, and educational interpreters an opportunity to work one-on-one with a Deaf or Hearing Mentor! Apprentices for this program are offered up to 15 hours of FREE virtual mentoring!
Fall 2020: September 21st – December 31st
Interested in learning more about 12 Step programming and addiction/ chemical dependency settings?
Interpreters are paired with a Deaf or Hearing 12 Step Mentor to receive one-on-one mentoring to enhance their skills and knowledge to better serve the deaf community in these areas.
Fall 2020: September 1st – December 19th
These programs are provided by ASLIS and is supported by grant funding from the Minnesota Department of Human Services, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Division.
