- Strategies to look after your mental health while interpreting high stress situations.
- How to be active and not become isolated from Deaf Community.
- Staying accountable, and adapting to the unique challenges of remote work while preserving a professional demeanor.
Educational Objectives:
The goal is to equip individuals with practical tools and insights to maintain professionalism, focus, and productivity in a remote work environment. By the end of this lesson, learners will be able to:
- Develop strategies to minimize distractions and enhance concentration while working remotely.
- Establish a balanced work-life routine that promotes well-being and prevents burnout.
- Tips on setting a good first impression by what we wear and background set ups.
- Develop strategies to handle the mental and physical challenges of remote interpreting, including preventing burnout, reducing stress, and maintaining focus during extended virtual sessions.
- Identify and address the specific challenges that arise in remote ASL interpreting, including technical issues, platform limitations, and maintaining visual clarity.
Uphold confidentiality, neutrality, and accuracy in remote settings, ensuring the integrity of the interpreting process regardless of the Platforms used. Ex: zoom, microsoft teams..ect.
