ASL Interpreting Services exists to support Deaf people and the Deaf Community. Our goal is to give Deaf people the interpreter of their choice. In order to achieve that goal, we need your help. Please fill out an evaluation form form or sign up for your free online profile.
Create an Online Profile - Here you can manage your interpreters and even find out who will be coming to your next appointment! All we need from you is an email address. You can watch the video below for a full explanation of the online profile.
Hello my name is Anne. Today I will be discussing the topic of a deaf profile. The first thing you need to do is contact our office and one of us can set that up for you. It’s a confidential profile for you and don’t worry it’s free. You may contact our office through email at info@aslis.com or conveniently call us on the video phone. Our VP number is 952-388-2141. This online system has four unique features. Once you log in you can check your personal information to make sure it’s all correct. Here you can include your language preference such as ASL, PSE or you prefer to voice for yourself. You also can indicate if you prefer a male or female interpreter for various assignments such as doctor appointments. Here you decide what information you would like us to know about you. Remember that list of preferred interpreters we talked about on another video? This is the place you have the flexibility of changing your list by adding or deleting interpreters. If you prefer a certain interpreter we make sure to contact that interpreter first for availability. Third, we respect your opinion about which interpreter you prefer to not see again and of course all this information is kept confidential. Here is the last feature. It’s the most amazing and I’m sure you’ll like it! Now you can look on your profile to see all your appointments. Your past, your present and your future appointments are all included. This way you can check future jobs to make sure the date, the time and the place are all correct. Remember all the information you are viewing is private information and only you can see it. Isn’t great to know who your interpreter is going to be at your next appointment? If you don’t want the assigned interpreter, call us for a list of your options. We want to make sure that everyone is satisfied. Again if you want to set up a deaf profile, email us at info@aslis.com or videophone VP number 952-388-2141. Thanks again!

Request an Interpreter - Need an interpreter? You can watch the video below for a full explanation on the process for requesting an interpreter.
Hello my name is Anne. During this short video I will explain how to make an interpreter request. There are many different ways in which this can be done depending on who is paying for the service. If it is a doctor’s office visit, a business meeting, or an organization, simply inform the person that is hiring the interpreter to call ASL Interpreting Services. You may give them all our contact information which is found on our website at www.aslis.com. If they already use ASL Interpreting Services you can check online yourself through your own Deaf profile. This way you can make sure that all the information is correct, the date, the time, the place. You can also see who your interpreter is going to be. If you would like a different interpreter then you may contact our agency and we will discuss different options. If you need an interpreter for work, you may ask your boss if you may set up the interpreter yourself. If they give you permission, then contact us and we would be happy to set up everything for you. You can also have your supervisor call us with any questions. Personal appointments where you pay for the service, such as weddings and family reunions, contact us directly so we can help find the right match for the situation. We are also happy to negotiate a lower rate with the interpreter. It is important to send us a request at least two weeks before the appointment. If it is a last minute request, don’t worry, we will be happy to fill it with an interpreter. It just might be not the person you prefer. We fill all of our requests with an average of 98% fill rate. If you have any more questions, contact us at info@aslis.com or videophone at 952-388-2141. Thanks!
